- choose your country (ie. United Kingdom)
- choose your provider (ie. Enterprise)
- choose your local phone number - this could be an 0345, 0645 or 0845 number
(which are classed as local call numbers) or a number local to you (ie. if you
live in Surrey you would be able to dial an 0181 number at local call rate).
If you are unsure what is your local call number contact us or your ISP as soon as possible.
Note that if the "Show Provider Info" box is clear you can click this to show some extra information about an ISP.
- If you are connecting with an ISP that gives you a static IP address - Demon Internet
do, but most every other ISP doesn't - goto the "configuration" folder -
goto IP Address and insert your static IP address. This box will be *ghosted* if you do not have a static IP address.
Your address should look similar to 159.151.5.13
- insert your login name - this is the name you give the ISP when you contact them
for the first time.
- insert your password - again, this is the password you give to your ISP when you
first contact them.
- insert your Real Name and E-Mail address. Your email address will be something similar to loginname@enterprise.net or loginname@netcomuk.co.uk.
Click "SAVE" to save the preferences.
